Anyone knows what happened to SETI@Home? It is kind of funny that we had a breakdown and by the time we had ourselves restored SETI@Home dies...strange...

It is a planned outage. They're doing some elctricity maintenance at Barkeley.

Yes, they finally found a new breaker to replace the one that caused several long blackouts a few weeks back.

I'm one of the lucky ones as well. Haven'tbeen able to attach yet, but it is pre-alpha ;)

Oh, and about the seti outage:

                "Project News July 8, 2005
Outage Notice. The long awaited new main power breaker for Space Sciences Lab has arrived and a long power outage is needed to install and test it. SETI@home will be offline for 17 hours or so beginning this coming Monday, July 11 at 22:00 UTC. "

If you're fast enough you maybe will be lucky this time, Message@home opened account-creation again, don't know how long it will last.

And once you apply the "SETI Time Formula" you will be very close to the actual time they return... I don't think we'll need to set up DC project to calculate it though as it's "(Time UCB SETI said they'd be down) * 2 = Actual down time". Yup, that worked out about right, again.
