    Hi,
maybe this question has already been asked & answered before...
Could you explain me why there\'s so much difference between claimed credit for a same WU.
    here\'s an example :

    One host is:
    CPU type GenuineIntel
    Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
    Number of CPUs 1
    Operating System Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition, Service Pack 2, (05.01.2600.00)
    Memory 1023.48 MB
    Cache 976.56 KB
    Swap space 1309.86 MB
    Total disk space 38.28 GB
    Free Disk Space 28.72 GB
Measured floating point speed 1224.63 million ops/sec
Measured integer speed 2454.68 million ops/sec

    the second host is :
    CPU type GenuineIntel
    Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.40GHz
    Number of CPUs 1
    Operating System Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition, Service Pack 1, (05.01.2600.00)
    Memory 503.52 MB
    Cache 976.56 KB
Measured floating point speed 4349.09 million ops/sec
Measured integer speed 5837.6 million ops/sec

For the same wu we\'ve got claimed credit :
    1st : 36.32 Done in 17,059.22
    2nd : 152.29 Done in 17,302.92 (almost 4 times more)

      Celeron vs. Pentium

The benchmark results should reflect that and that\'s what the claimed credits are based on.

The Celeron benchmark is extremely high (way too high!) though, it might have an optimized BOINC client or ... well, there are other ways to get a high benchmark value.

The Pentium benchmark seems to be a bit too low, I get higher values on a P4/2000. On a P4/2400 I have 1448 FLOPS and 4054 IOPS (Win XP SP1).

This does not depend on the projects needs (float or int maths), it uses the same formula for all projects.

The CPU time reported for the WUs is very random in this project. It has a sticky bug that often resets the CPU time to 0 when it pauses and even when it ends.
