With Adam\'s anouncement that the newer long WUs would be shorter, I am wondering how people are doing with them. Right now my computers are set for no new work pending shorter WUs to go along with a four day deadline.

I\'ve been getting a whole lot of very short ones, typically taking a few minutes or less to crunch and being granted only small fractions of a cobblestone each. Deadlines are four or five days. Sprinkled among those are some more substantial ones that take a few hours and receive ~25 credits--but only about half of mine are passing validation (yet none of the failures are showing computing errors).

I only joined the project a couple of days ago, so I have no idea what\'s normal here; my invalid results may be leftovers from before whatever adjustments were made.

Most of the workunits I have been getting are finished from 9 seconds to 4 1/2 minutes (average of about 2 minutes 15 seconds). The deadline for NEW workunits has been extended to 5 days. There are a lot of the old workunits being recycled so they reach quorum, but I fear that I will never get any credit for those, so I am holding them off till later. I actually came pretty close to hitting daily workunit quota yesterday (373/500) and that was 11 hours of crunching. If the workunits stay the same today, I expect I will hit the limit.

          Well, 1 week after.. ;)
i saw the size of the wus increasing slower (-> 20 min)
          but now i\'m running \"big\" wus :
          from 1h52min to 4h59min

I\'ve seen a number of my results failing to validate recently--not a great many, but more than I\'m used to in other BOINC projects. When they\'re only a few minutes\' worth of work I don\'t mind, but I\'m a little more concerned when I see ones like No. 408798 here. FWIW I notice that the other host given zero credit in this case was another Mac.

I am also seeing more invalid workunits than usual, though most tend to be valid (and I am not on a Mac).
