It seems that I am receiving far too many Invalid results:

I have seen Ananas suggest in posts that this might be happening anytime a wu gets preempted, but I haven\'t seen anyone validate that this is really a problem. I will say that the computers that have had these are set to \'keep in memory\', so that shouldn\'t be the problem.

Can someone please explain what is causing this problem? Is there something I can do on my side to prevent it? Is it being fixed? If so, when?

I am rather new to this project, but have been computing on several others for a long time. I had thought this sounded like a worthwhile project (as I am interested in the math), but I can say that I am getting to be more than a bit disenchanted

    Thanks, McPDR

There still seems be some problem, my workunit 1709181 seems to be \"invalid\" for some strange hungarian-error-reason.

And no, in my BOINC Manager I can\'t tell to leave preempted tasks in memory.

      1. Why don\'t you translate all the stuff into english?
      2. Why do I keep getting packages, when all seem to end up invalid?

I\'ll suspend sztaki until these problems are solved, sry.

Oh come on now! Now when I check today, I find that these have now been purged from the system. H\'mmmm! Is anyone out there able to help?

Would the computers be getting re-booted, for any reason. This would cause the same problem.

By any chance where they running on the Win98 computers? Since this OS does not support services, if you where to log out of the computer BOINC would stop.

I\'ve been seeing plenty of invalid results (about a third) coming from a WinXP Pro system with BOINC installed as a service, preferences set to keep apps in memory. That same host\'s failure rate on SETI@home & Einstein@home WUs is on the order of 1%.
