My Team is having an internal SZTAKI competition this week.

Can\'t wait to see if it will show an inpact on the project\'s performance graphs. :)

NeoGen, you made me curious. Can you post some details about the competition? Thx

Our team is having an internal boinc competition that will last for around two months, giving a week for each of the chosen projects. This week is SZTAKI week, and it started at midnight on the passing of sunday to monday (on GMT timezone), and it will last until midnight of friday.
Basically, the team member who generates more credits during these 5 days wins. :)

And looking at the projects statistics charts, there was a sharp rise on the GFlops today. :)

Sounds that the project can reach again the barrier of 1 TeraFlop/s.
The first time was in february.

            Is 1 TeraFlop/s = to 1,000 or 1,024 GigaFlops/s?

...because the charts are indicating that it has just reached 1,000 GigaFlops :)

I don\'t know what system is used for the graphs, but strictly speaking the prefixes tera- (abbreviated T) and giga- (G) refer respectively to 10^12 and 10^9 only. The official, but rarely used, prefixes for the binary near-equivalents, 2^40 and 2^30, are tebi- (Ti) and gibi- (Gi). So 1 TFlop/s is 1000 GFlop/s, but 1 TiFlop/s would be 1024 GiFlop/s. See the NIST binary prefix page.

We multiply the data with 10^9, so that which means 1000 GFlops/s adds up to 1 TFlop/s. Maybe I should declare this on the graphs page...

Oh well... doesn\'t really matter if it\'s 1000 or 1024, because it has surpassed both those numbers already. :)

1 TFlop/s! That is some heavy crunching power!

Say... Adam, is it possible to quantify the number of workunits left to do until finishing all of 12 dimension matrixes? (we are working on 12th dimension now, aren\'t we?)
If so, then you could add on the mainpage a countdown to finish, or maybe a progress percentage?

robert.mouris had the same idea about the progress

If you use the X button, (the little red square), you complain about the thread. ;)
