Is there something wrong with the clock settings on the server, i.e. an hour fast? (Does Hungary observe daylight-saving time?) I\'ve noticed recently that my recorded contacts sometimes show times in the future, when I check my account shortly after a BOINC client has reported in.

According to my system\'s clock I\'m posting this at 23h29 UTC on 1 June 2006.

<edit>This message shows a posting time of 0h26 UTC on 2 June 2006.</edit>

How odd. I get my time from an atomic clock at the CSIRO.

I notice the discrepancy is about 57 minutes--not exactly an hour--for you too.

I had assumed the server would be using GMT because it\'s supplying data all over the world and we all need a given time reference. Unless they\'re using British Daylight Time. ;-)

Technically speaking GMT is obsolete, having been superseded by UTC ... which is what the times shown here claim to be anyway. It\'s the standard for \'Internet time\' and every other BOINC project I\'ve seen. (Posted at exactly 22h56 UTC.)

Well technically I\'m obsolete too, so we go together well ;-) The BOM web site says that the two are the same and interchangeable, something about the people on Jupiter not ratifying the whole universal thing. GMT\'s use is not limited or specific too the Internet. The military have used it for years, so do airlines and, well the list is endless and the Internet is a \"Johny come lately\" to the whole GMT thing. Radio, telephone, telegram, telex, the Titanic...

Than I must be obsolete also as I usually think of GMT.

Got registered, but no work, all reserved for other platforms for now.
