My BOINC sztaki won\'t update it self. I can see that there are something like 23000 WU\'s ready to send out yet my version says \'not requesting new work or reporting new results\'.

    Any ideas?

Two reasons that usually cause this :

      1. If you got a message \"Your computer is overcommitted\", you probably have a filled-up cache from other projects. It might even be in panic mode (EDF, Earliest Deadline First) on a different project, when some WUs are too close to the deadline.

Once the cache is crunched down a little, it will restart requesting SZTAKI work. Probably a smaller cache size would be a good idea if you run multiple projects on the same box.

      2. A different project has high debits and SZTAKI has very high negative debits in client_state.xml (entries : long_term_debts and short_term_debts). BOINCview can show those debits.

In this case, you can stop BOINC (important!) and edit those values (or just remove those <..._term_debt> lines completely), after the restart it will immediately request SZTAKI work.

In both cases, time will fix it.

Well I removed both those lines but it still refuses to get the results. I\'m running SETI, Einstein, Rosetta and LHC alongside sztaki. Could that be why?

How would I go about changing the cache?

If you haven\'t modified your cache, it should at least not be way too large. With 4 projects, something between 0.5 and 1 should be plenty.

          The setting is here :

hidden behind \"Connect to network about every ... days\"

Rosetta has quite a short deadline at the moment, which might drive BOINC into EDF mode - but if it did, you should have received a message about this fact.
          _________________________

You say you removed the two lines - but there should have been a total of 10 \"debt\" lines (one of this long/short pair for each of the 5 project you have).
