    Hi,

    I have 2 wus that have been running for 35/42 hours and are at 17/20 % which will never be finished by deadline. What is wrong here?

      I have an gigantic result as well. This project seriously needs a longer deadline and an increased fpops_est. I know that others are aborting these results.

        Higher fpops_est will not help as there are some short ones between :-/

        The BOINC client will adjust the duration_correction_factor to match the short ones and still download way too much on the next contact.

        I guess, for now a daily quota of 1 per CPU would help avoid the worst problems.

        As of the deadlines : yes, way way more is needed for those unpredictable runtimes

          is running since 55 hours and is over the deadline. Will I get credits for it?

            Maybe this would be a good point to ask Akos to add some thrusters or afterburners, maybe they could save this or that WU

                Maybe it would be a good idea to stop BOINC, edit client_state.xml and multiply the value <rsc_fpops_bound> with 10 for the problematic WUs by moving the decimal dot to the right by one place.

                Otoh. the WUs might not restart properly and start over from an earlier timestep so there is a certain risk.

                  The WU http://szdg.lpds.sztaki.hu/szdg/result.php?resultid=828 finished finally beyond the deadline but before the extended deadline. It is standing on \"Client Error\" but in the stderr out there is no error reported.
                  This WU took CPU time (sec) 295,171.453125 and claimed 2,474.50 credits, so I am interested in this WU :-)

                    If you\'re interested in the credits...you\'ll have it granted soon. The further procession of the result is my job

                      The problem is the \"Maximum CPU time exceeded\"

                        Yes, you are right: \"Maximum CPU time exceeded\"
                        I didn\'t see that, I only looked at the end of stderr out ...

                        @Adam: Thank you!
