If you are processing a WU that has been running a few hours and has not updated the 0.000% field, do this:

    Find the BOINC\\projects\\szdg.lpds.sztaki.hu_szdg directory.

Using a text editor open the in.txt_xxxxxxx file for that WU.

If there is only One array defined, do this:

    Close the editor.

Go to BOINC projects panel and:

    Click \"No New Tasks\"
    Click \"Suspend\"

    re-boot your computer

Go to BOINC projects panel and:

    Click \"Resume\"
    Click \"Allow New Tasks\"

The offending WU should complete and upload.

Note: If there is more than one array listed in the in.txt_xxxx file, then this may not work.

It may complete, but the result won\'t be what we need, so it\'ll fail validation. You\'re free to do this, the server will recreate another result instead of the bad one, so the processing will be done...maybe you won\'t get so many credits, but hey, not everyone likes to collect credits, am I right? :-)

Anyways, as stated in the news and other threads, I\'ve extended the deadlines of the WUs for 1 month...

        Here\'s what I did...

        1. Set SZTAKI to \"no new tasks\"
        2. Shut down BOINC
(wait for all running science projects to exit)
        3. Restart BOINC

I suspect #1 is unnecessary, unless your intent is to prevent SZTAKI from getting more work.

In theory, shutting down and restarting BOINC should not cause erroroneous results for any science projects.

        Thanks for the tip!

Adam, I found 2 more single-line WUs. One ran for about 10min, then I snoozed BOINC and then exited. I restarted BOINC and unsnoozed. The WU was immediately uploaded as 100% completed. I checked my results and it\'s sitting there pending credit.

The second WU had been running about 2min and I snoozed BOINC and was about to exit, when my phone rang. I unsnoozed BOINC to let things percolate while I was on the phone. The single-line WU was immediatly uploaded as a computation error. I think there is still a glitch in the single-line checkpointing routine.
