I\'ve noticed for some time now that sorting threads by most recently posted is in error. The sorting is almost right, but some items that are only a few hours old appear after items that have postings several days old.

Is that a bug in the message board software, or is it due to infrequent updating of the message database?

You may already know this but sticky threads are always before regular threads if you do not select the \"do not reorder sticky posts\" option in the Forum Preferences.

I didn\'t know this, and that is clearly the problem. I have now set the \"do not ...\" option and expect that my order pro=blems will go away.

By the way, how does one find out this sort of esoteric info? I still have no idea what a \"sticky\" post is!

The \"sticky\" post is the post which will be always at the top of other threads - here it got sign on the very left of the thred in the threads list :)

If there\'s more than one \"sticky\" they are sorted in the group just like oridnary ones :) i.e. from the most recent to the least recent one - as you can see by \"Utolsó bejegyzés\" eee... I mean \"Last post\" column.

The \"sticky\" post are made sticky to underline their importance - not to allow them to vanish in the crowd ;)

            Post to thread
