    Hello,

I have recently had several work units go bad. These are mixed with successful WU\'s, and they happen on all three of my computers (one Windows XP on Athlon XP+, one Fedora Core 5 Linux on Athlon XP+, one Mac OSX 10.4 on PPC), so I do not see a pattern. Some of these crunch for several days before generating an error. I just aborted one that had crunched for over 48 hours, and while it was working, the estimated time to completion would steadily rise (over 26 hours).

I\'ve noticed that for the large work units, the ones in which the \"estimated time to completion\" begins to decrease after about 10 hours will work. The ones where the \"estimated time to completion\" continues to rise after about 20 hours will usually fail.

Was there a bad batch released?

    Thank you.

I saw that you had at least 2 WU\'s from the 21b342bd series. (They are especially notorious.) This thread describes some of my recent experiences with them. This thread may also be pertinent to the problem you are seeing.
