    Maybe this has already been explained somewhere but because I\'m nt sure about that, here is what happened to three WUs I had.
    Those WUs were running but the Progress bad seems blocked. So after a few hours, I closed the BOINC Manager & restarted it. The WUs restarts also and the progress bar jumps to 20%. I did so a few time until the WUs is finished (after 79 hours).
    But if I didn\'t do so, I think it stays stuck at 0% after the 79 hours...
    Maybe somebody else has noticed this? And for those who have a WUs blocked at a certain percentage, they can maybe try to see if something happen.

      You can suspend the wu too.
      When you will resume the wu later, the progress bar can jump to 20 %.

        What I meant is that if I didn\'t closed BOINC, the WU seems running for ever without any progression.

          By closing BOINC you can bet that you won\'t get valid results (you may still get credit since Adam periodically grants credit for invalid results) but your result will be no good to the science. And if you read here, evidence of valid results with the jumping behavior have yet to be found.

          [snip]...[/snip] I think you can be quite sure that those \"jumping\" WUs will not validate. There must be something wrong in the restart logic.

          [edit]{saw your post thierry@home, after I posted, so here\'s my reply}
          Some WUs take a really long time, I have had some take as long as 110+ hrs, others have had their WUs reach the max CPU time, somewhere around 200 hrs I think. My strategy: patience, patience, patience, and let the WU do it\'s thing. [/edit]

            almost nothing to add - larry\'s motion seconded - if you\'re not in need to restart your box - let it run and don\'t mind the progress bar - it will finish...

            IMVHO - that\'s the problem with big WUs - too many impatient people ;) results in WU getting reissued or getting \"no cosensus\" thing :(
