    English:
I would like to use only a part of my processor time, fx. 85% of it to prevent overheating. Have I got any option to do this? I\'ve already fond out how to set up the CPU usage related to other projects, but I would like to limit the program\'s maximum processor usage.

You must have upgraded to the latest release Boinc 5.8.11 in order to do so. Click in your Boinc manager on the web site of any project, select \"Your account\" and then \"General preferences -- View or edit\" and then \"Edit preferences\". There you can change \"Use at most ... percent of CPU time\". The change applies to all your Boinc projects as soon as your computer has communicated with any project (click on \"Update\" in your projects tab).

Note that the setting is implemented in a ‘discrete’ manner: BOINC will start and stop at short intervals (in a similar fashion to its switching between projects according to short-term debt) instead of slowing down. The 85% setting might produce a pattern like 1 second on, 1 second off, 5 on, 1 off, 6 on, 1 off, 6 on, …. Small changes to the percentage may produce considerable changes in the behaviour of the fan &c., so some tinkering could be required before you find a ‘comfortable’ figure.

Thanks, but as long as the intervalls is short enough, it\'s fine. 100% useage don\'t even cause instability, just the tempeature with it. (If the system have been set up so.)

Omg, I can\'t find that property. Is it possible that the webpage will change after my client update? Ok, I will do it tomorrow, and maybe try to change my language to english, then I may find it easyer. :D

The server software here is too old for that to appear (I have no idea how old it is).

If you\'re using 5.8.x, you can set this locally. Switch to the simple view, click on preferences, check the customize for this computer only box, use no more than __% of the processor can be set in 10% increments, click save.
