    Why am I getting computing errors on Riemann Zeta Research Project work units when I shut down BOINC and then restart it in 64-bit Windows 7? The stderr output of two examples can be seen in results 28283071 and 28558585. For some reason, the Akismet anti-spam system is falsely flagging links to the relevant results as spam. An example of the stderr output is below:

    <core_client_version>7.2.33</core_client_version>
    <![CDATA[
    <message>
    finish file present too long
    </message>
    ]]>

    One possibility could be that the work unit's names for the Riemann Zeta Research Project might be too long. I noticed that the work units and results have extremely long names. Could the work units' files have path names that have more characters than MAX_PATH which is defined in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365247(VS.85).aspx and therefore cause problems?

    If this is the case, maybe changing the API to use the Unicode APIs instead of the legacy ANSI APIs as mentioned in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365247(VS.85).aspx might solve the problem.

      I have done some searching and found that this might be a fault with BOINC itself and not the project.
