I do agree, it must be a \"platform not found error\", but even the error message is buggy. Strange: people ported BOINC to amd64 should have been aware of this. Right?

I run the amd64 deb package of BOINC. I can\'t install i386 deb, because the package manager says: \"Wrong architecture \'i386\'\".

I\'m more and more convinced it\'s general problem with this distribution. My college told me today he got an advice on a Debian forum not to use the amd64 version, since i386 is far more stable and better supported by software.

Hmm, I think I\'ll change the distro. Either will install Kubuntu i386 or give Sabayon 64 bit a try.

I do believe I have installed the right software on this platform. I don\'t need a Linux expert or so, rather I need someone to tell me why the work distributor server refuses to give me any task.
The main issue why do I get such a misleading error message as \"No work from project\".

So are you running an Amd64 on a platform 64 bits ?

Yes, I run the 64 bit release of Ubuntu. I guess it\'s a problem of recognizing the platform... Still strange, I do have the boinc-client & boinc-manager (version 5.4.11-1) installed on this platform. So, what\'s wrong?

I tried to add other projects also, but got the same problem.

Hi,

I changed platform on my desktop and now I run Ubuntu Linux on AMD64 (instead of Win XP). Installed BOINC 3 days ago and I get these messages since:

Please help!
