I have four work units that are still pending and no third work unit issued. One is from February. Are the extra ones going to be issued?

If I\'m looking at the correct one, it\'s already gone into a \"too many results\" error. So, even if you finish you won\'t get any credit. The best thing you can do is just to abort this one.

That\'s what\'s happening, many with two pending results too. Some even have a third result but still get canned. See work unit 2227060. This is becoming very disappointing.

Adam needs to increase the work unit time to 400+ hours. I\'m running 20+ projects and it stuffs them up too. I\'ve lost several million seconds of work that could have returned 1,000\'s of credits in Milky Way.

When are the servers expected to be accepting results or giving out work again?

By any measure Aussie Assault 9 (AA9) on QMC has been a fantastic success!!

Even though AA9 is officially over, the team has just passed 10 million credits in QMC, the last 5 million all in the last 18 days. That is an enormous amount of science crunched.

The team\'s daily output should have started winding down to about double its pre-AA levels, about 50,000 a day, but we are still seeing around 250,000 a day. Not to bad for QMC.

It should start to drop in the next week or so but the project has caught the interest of many BOINC@AUSTRALIA members. That\'s another great side affect of the AA\'s.

The next event starts on 1 December 2007.

Not Adam\'s fault, it is a conceptional bug in the BOINC support for multiple languages, someone didn\'t think before he designed it.

Umm, what is a computer programmer? How\'d I do?

I had assumed the server would be using GMT because it\'s supplying data all over the world and we all need a given time reference. Unless they\'re using British Daylight Time. ;-)

Technically speaking GMT is obsolete, having been superseded by UTC ... which is what the times shown here claim to be anyway. It\'s the standard for \'Internet time\' and every other BOINC project I\'ve seen. (Posted at exactly 22h56 UTC.)

Well technically I\'m obsolete too, so we go together well ;-) The BOM web site says that the two are the same and interchangeable, something about the people on Jupiter not ratifying the whole universal thing. GMT\'s use is not limited or specific too the Internet. The military have used it for years, so do airlines and, well the list is endless and the Internet is a \"Johny come lately\" to the whole GMT thing. Radio, telephone, telegram, telex, the Titanic...
